I've asked actualy numerous people, even chabadnikim, about this praticular practice (and these sources), and nomatter how learned, everyone has said that the chabad practice in this regard is absolutely unjustifiable halachicaly, and also concludes that it is, infact, assur to sit in the rain in the sukkah, save the chabadnikim say "sit in the sukkah anyway" so i'm curious to hear how you understand these sugiyot.
