I've heard his CD's by others who put them on. No offense to Gad Elbaz, but though his words may be passable (and even that, barely so), his style is completely prust. Kol hakavod to whoever vetoed him.

Here in melbourne we're using one of his songs (halayla hazeh hazman) for a dance in our production, i've never heard of what cutiepie said but it makes sense to me.

he has a song which is a remix of a chabad niggun, i forget which one. One of my friends here who ordinarily would never be caught dead listening to a nigun asked me, after listening to it, "Are there other nigunim like that?"

Good question. I'm not sure he himself knows the answer.

You can't. It's either one or the other.

It's good that your friend was affected positively. However...if you can understand what cutiepie said, then you shouldn't be listening if you can avoid it.

He does not target anyone in particular, but his songs and especially his concerts are geared more for the not yet frum. He is a more honest Sefardi/Israeli version of Matisyahu, and his offstage behavior is very exemplary.

he said that he started making this type of music b/c he noticed that a lot of yeshivish boys were listening to non-jewish music-this would get them to listen to jewish, religious music. so he does target the frum crowd!

btw u can watch the interview here and c what hes really about http://video.google.com/videosearch?...en&emb=0&aq=f##
