He's reffering (iirc) to the Sicha in LS 35, sicha 3 on Vayechi.

[Regarding the concept explained in that Sicha, that the "mitzriyim = us down here" have to act as if there was histalkus, even though yaakov ovinu loi mes, see also the Hoisofois to Parshas Shemois all the way at the back of LS 6, where he says explicitly that this concept applies even to Yosef haTzadik. Aiyen shom.]

Yes LS #35

yet see http://www.beismoshiach.org/Moshiach...oshiach288.htm
“Yaakov Avinu Lo Meis”

In connection with the first category, “Yaakov Avinu lo meis” (“Our father, Yaakov, did not die”), the following is an excerpt of the sicha of 15 Tammuz 5745 (as recorded on video):

“The Rebbe has been alive b’gashmiyus in the physical world for the past 35 years, each moment of which he grows stronger, healthier, more refreshed, and more alive! There is no rav or judge – absolutely no one – who can change the simple and obvious fact that the concept of yerusha [inheritance] is completely inapplicable, G-d forbid, since ‘he is alive’; one cannot speak of yerusha when he still lives.”

as reflected in
http://www.beismoshiach.org/Moshiach/moshiach359.htm

which is not the same meaning as in the sicha even there also
http://www.beismoshiach.org/Editors_Corner/350.htm

or the way Tuvia Bolton gives it over from Rabbi ibn Gabbai
http://www.ohrtmimim.org/torah/archi...t/vayechi.html

Did the Rebbe mean it pashut as implied in the video quote?
If you go to Hisvadus 5745 on otzar it does not say it there?

Which do the non-Lubabs have a problem with? all/some
which and WHo?

See the sicha from parshas Bo 5752, translated here, in which the Rebbe said that every Jew is like Yaakov Avinu and "lives" forever in the same way:
http://www.sichosinenglish.org/books...lish/51/19.htm

See the sicha from the second day of rosh chodesh Teves 5752 in which the Rebbe said that Yaakov only lived for 147 years:
http://www.sichosinenglish.org/books.../51/06.htm#t64

The Rebbe also said this in footnote 58 to the sicha of parshas Mikeitz 5752:
http://www.sichosinenglish.org/books.../51/05.htm#n58

But the Rebbe said that everyone lives on like Yaakov Avinu.

Quote:
In this spirit, our Sages state in regard to our Patriarch Jacob,[181] "Yaakov... did not die. Just as his descendants are alive, He is alive." The same concept applies in regard to each of Yaakov's descendants, the Jewish men and women of all subsequent generations.
PS I got these mare mekomos off of a misnagdishe website. Can you imagine that these uni-dimensional people look at the sichos?

no. they take translations out of context and fail to see that the Rebbe was not talking from the same perspective every time
each time as life is not uni-dimensional as you persist on ..

So Yaakov Avinu is only alive in some sense and not in others, right? Is that what you are trying to teach to this blind, uni-dimensional stam yid?
