Neshama Controls Guf?

In Sha'ar Hayichud V'ha'emuna, Chapter 6, it is written: "כמו שהנשמה מניעה את הגוף ומנהיגתו כרצונו" Just as the soul moves the body and directs it at will.

I don't understand... Aren't there times when the body acts against the will of the soul?

it does not says that the soul ALWAYS controls the body, it is saying that the soul (even it is a different entity than the body)IS ABLE to direct it according to her will ,bc she is providing it with life

It doesn't mean the G-dly soul, but simply the life force and consciousness that enlivens the body. Without this the body is dead and doesn't move at all.

The body never fights with the G-dly soul's desire, it is the animal soul fighting with the G-dly soul.

The coarseness of the body conceals the light and wishes of the G-dly soul, though.
