looking for Sichos (Kodesh)

Someone told me they once listened to a tape where Reb Yoel is talkng about the Rebbe abpout about lighting licht the first nite of Channukah, erev shabbas kodesh and how it is being done when there is no holiday. He mentioned a mashal with getting people out of a lhavdil church...

The person may have added when he contrasted it with how we could have blown shofar, benched lulav also before shabbas but do not...

Where is this in print?

and according to the shita of the RaMBaM it's like that even when Chanukah is during the week.
What's the connection to shofar where we need alef Tishrei???

I don't know now what sicha is being talked about (and I don't have time to look now), but what is the comparison to lighting Erev shabbos when it burns into Shabbos - and that was the way the mitzvoh was set up to begin with (as explained in poskim)! - and blowing Shofar where 1) the mitzva is RH (- Shabbos), not erev RH, 2) you are finishing before Shabbos, so what did you accomplish?

Doesn't matter - that was the takono (as explained in achronim).
(Isn't it a little early for Chanuka? Also, I would make the title of the thread more specific).
