Opening the Aaron Kodesh

Does it make a difference which way you move the curtain of the aaron kodesh to open it? Cuz in shul someone pushed it to the left and they made him fix it to the right.

i heard that its better to open to the right, like everything else in kdusha its better to do it on the right side, like when you take a sefer torah to/from the bimah you go to the right
