From R' Yuda Chitrik: "Farvuss gein krum az men ken gein gleich?" (Why go crooked if you can go straight?)

When you are about to witness a person indulge in some geshmake Meruzshne (Ice cream) you should tell him:

Genug az du bist a Ferd, du darf zain a chazer aoichet?

(Its enough that you are a horse you don't have to also be a pig!)

The story that I heard was than a agunah came to the Noda Biyehuda with her shalah about her husband (something to do with water I'm not sure exactly). It was a machlokes Rashi who said that in such a case he was dead and Tosafos who said he was alive and finally he paskened like Rashi because he had 20 Kashes koshos kbarzel against tosafos. A few days later the woman walked in with her husband and everyone turned to the Noda Biyehuda "what about all your kashes on tosafos" to which he replied " fun a kashe shtarbt men nisht".

The Noda Biyehada once wrote a teshva and fifinshed off with the posuk Yeshorim darchay hashem tzadikim yelchu bom ufoshim yichshulu bom, but changed the end to chassidi yichsulu vom.
When his granndchildren became chassidim they wanted to chage it. The Tzemch Tzedek told them Your grandfather made poshim to chassidim now you want to make chassidim to poshim?!

R' Peretz Chein said "mir un der katz zainen b'shove b'erech tzu Reb Hillel Paritcher , un Reb Hillel un der katz zainen b'shove b'erech tzu dem Tzemach Tzedek"
