pure alcohol added to passover wine - is it ok?

i heard a rumor that some wines have pure alcohol added to them, and since in chabad we don't use mashke on pesach, we shouldn't use those wines either... does anyone know if this is true?

I've never heard that rumor, which doesn't mean anything Most wines increase their alcohol content by adding sugar.

Eminent Dry by Kesser is the most basic of wines, with nothing added. That's why many super-machmir folks (but not machmir enough to make their own wine) use that kind specifically for Pesach.

See attached. It's from a Chabad Rov in Eretz Yisroel - Rabbi Yosef Ginsburg (he used to have a Halacha column in the Hiskashrus magazine).
