Order to study English Chassidus?
Hi I recently bought the Chassidus heritage series and have access to a few other maamarim that are translated. I'm working on being able to study in Hebrew but It might take a while.
What do you suggest as an order to study in English, including maamarim and sichos or anything else that would make a good English curriculum for self study? |

Tanya
A must be is the book of Tanya. This is the basic work. If you read and learn this, you'll understand all the rest. Good luck.

Do you think a beginer would be better off starting with the Tanya or with the teachings of the most recent Lubavitcher Rebbe which may speak more down to Earth for our generation?

Yes, I think so. The main and basic book is the Tanya. If you read and learn this at the beginning, you'll understand all the other books of the Chabad Rebbes.

Okay, I guess the advantage of the Rebbe of our generation would be that he discusses more in depth the idea of the final redemption etc. for those who are interested in that topic etc.
