I imagine you are trying to say that somehow that piece of Rambam is לשיטתו, but I don't fullly see the connection.

Ktonton, I believe that we are not usually posek l'fi haramba"m. And even when we are, this is stated b'derech sipur.
In addition, why would Moshiach die after t'chiyat hameitim? And if he dies before then, who will he rule over?

Moshiach has responsibility to decode and tell us the mystery which is " from the foundation of the world " , and show 'the way ' not only to the children of Israel but to all nations. Thus he will be the father of us all or the man who will teach us , save us.
