Rebbe signed letter "Moshiach"

I heard that last shabbos there was a public farbrengen in Manchester by Harav Sholom DovBer Groner from South Africa.

Also Present was one of the Ziknei Hachasiddim Rabbi Gansburch from Eretz Yisroel who is travelling all over Europe to encourage people to do more than their ability to bring Moshiach.

Rabbi Ganzburg mentioned at that farbrengen that he received a letter from the rebbe in 5710 or 5711 i am not sure exactly, and at the bottom of the letter after the Rebbe's signature there were four letters "Mem" "Shin" "Yud" "Ches" spelling the word MOSHIACH!!!

He said that that letter is printed in Igros Vol. 3

no no,

the Rebbe's signature looks like the four letters that spell Moshiach, and i heard it myself from Rabbi Ganzbirg at a farbrengen, than when he saw that he knew that the Rebbe is Moshiach.

Aha, thank you Bochur, that makes a lot more sense to me.

I am away in the country so i have no access to igros, or i would have checked it before posting.

Many years ago about 5739 the Rebbe signed his name this way on the Michtav Klali of Yud Alef Nissan for Pesach and Reb Dovid Raskin sat all night Shvii Shel Pesach and Farbrenged that now everyone knows who is Moshiach and he was so joyous that he got so Shiker and he tried to get everyone else by that Farbrengen to get drunk with him.

The letter you are probably referring to is 11 Nissan 5743 - LS v 22 p 279. Look it up and make your own judgement, but I will admit it is a little different than the usual signature.
As far as Ganzburg's letter - is that the one printed in IK v 3 p 26? Nu nu...

If you put your thumb over a part of the sig, it does indeed spell Moshiach, especially with that huge Mem. MM Shagalov signs his name and it looks similar. Now that is spooky!

I'm not so sure the title of the thread is misleading. Maybe you can't read TOO MUCH into it, but I think its pretty cool that the Rebbe signed his name, at least once or twice, in a way that that could be read as Moshiach.

BTW, this web site is very informative and yes, Torah613, even fun!

Here

I don't see the word Moshiach, but this is what Torah613 cited.

You know those clever drawings that have two pictures in one, like the old hag/young woman or vase/two faces etc.? Once you have learned to see both pictures, you always see both, and you can't believe how you didn't see them at first.

I had the same experience with the Rebbe's signature. Way before Gimmel Tamuz (it was even several years before Kof Zayin Adar) I saw in one of Rabbi Volpo's books how the word "Moshiach" can clearly be seen in the Rebbe's signature. I'm not saying that I agree with all his opinions etc., but since then, I see the "Moshiach" so clearly in the signature (all the time- not just once or twice!) that I can't believe how it wasn't obvious before.

I am talking about the abbreviated signature (just the first letter of the Rebbe's first name), not the full one stamayid referred to.

What does this mean? Does it prove anything? That I can't say. But it is interesting!

please stop being so "Arop Gefalen Bai Zich"!!

all of us in chabad know that the rebbe is moshiach.
the rest of the world knows this - and they all say that the rebbe started all this in his first maamar באתי לגני.
so stop putting your face in the ground - stop "shemen zich" with the rebbe!!

A bit of a historic note: In the book "Yechi Hamelech Hamoshiach" from Rabbi Volpe page 62-3 , he pointed out this thing about the Rebbe's signature, that over the years looked more and more like the word Moshiach.

Aropgefaln bay zich?!

I feel bad for Chabad that from a major innovative way in study and worship of hashem turned into these childish hangups build on dreams and fantacies that are fit for (lehavdil) Voodoo worshipers. Yes, because my signature looks like Eliyahu Hanavi (it does!) I am the one!
