How to study?

I wish to begin on studying the Halacha; Shulhan Aruch, Mishne Torah as well as midrash halacha.
I have known there is a daily Halacha study as Eli Mansour presents in a website. It seems to be studied by topics and subjects.

So studying the Halachot, are they not studied by relalting them to the Shulhan Aruch or at least to Mishne Torah or Mishna Berurah?

I am lost on begining to study the Halachot because I do not know where are they related.

Thanks
