Does anyone know of any good geshmaka neggunim cd's, nice relaxing ones, deep ones, lively ones, and some beaty or techno types?

Shuva dancing has techno-Niggunim. Chabad Classics is relatively relaxing. Ne'imos Chabad (Chabad Melodies) is fairly light and easy listening. Yossi Goldstein's "Ribbono Shel Olam" (a capella) is surprisingly smooth. Avraham Fried makes the Niggunim into typical Jewish music.

Does that mean all Avraham Fried's songs are niggunim?

A Yid answers a question with a question: Because all ChabadTalkers are nuts, does that mean all nuts are ChabadTalkers?

Possibly. But at any rate, I seriously have been wondering about that for some time. And by the way, to be more specific, a חסיד answers a question with a question.

I like the Yaron Gershovsky's renditions of nigunnim.

also happen to like YBC and a lot of eli gerstner's songs (although the slow ones are terrible and give me a headache)

MBC is good if you want to get a good laugh (i just crack up everytime i hear yerachmiel mix in)

MBD is so-so, some of his songs are pretty nice though. i just can't stand fried.

if you want to hear nice songs with nice tochen then you should listen to lipa schmeltzer - they are very nice. but only if you understand poilisher yiddish.

yehuda also has very nice songs, and eftach pi is a very nice CD (there are a lot of nice songs in there)

shalsheles also has a few nice songs - it just might make you sick if you listen to them too many times - i think volume 2 is better than volume 3.

and i'd take chabad classics over shuvu dancing every day. shuvu dancing is disgusting - the remakes are terrible - can't they just understand that nigunnim just don't sound well in techno? and i love techno (did i mention eli mandelbaum's MIX's), blue fringe isn't that bad but it might be too 'fry' for some people. a bit of mizrachi music can't hurt either from time-to-time.

if you want to 'pay attention' to music the journeys and destiny might be nice, as well as variations (but that also might be to fry for some people) - nice music with nice words!

but i'm also getting bored, and my collection is in the 20GB range any more suggestions?

It's mostly chasidim that do it.

"Shamil" is pretty good, I think it's by this guy Yoni, Yair, Yaniv... something like that, I'm not sure. It's a lot like Avraham Fried. Yaron Gershovsky is great relaxing music.
