The Third Moshiach: Moshiach ben Menashe
Moshiach ben Yosef is mentioned only once in the Talmud Sukka 52.
Reference is made in the seforim to a "Moshiach ben Efrayim", presumably synonymous with Moshiach ben Yosef. So who is the "Moshiach ben Menashe" in Bamidbar Rabbo Naso 14:1, who will come together with "Moshiach ben Efrayim"? Just how many Moshiachs are there gonna be?! |

From what I understand, like Moshiach ben Efrayim, it's just another name for Moshiach ben Yosef.

The Midrash says that the 4 Craftsmen of Zecharya II are referring to Eliyahu, Moshiach ben Menashe, Moshiach ben Efrayim and Moshiach ben Dovid. Presumably the latter two are a pair of different aspects of Moshiach ben Yosef. Some hold that there will indeed be 3 different individual Moshiachs. Others that it will be one gigantic Pinchas-type soul that will contain all three souls within one man's body.
