Arrow Moshiach

I think a lot of Jews envisage moshiach as being so prodigious that it's forgotten that he is or will be a mortal just like you and I.

If he was visiting this forum right now, what would you say to him?

Oh Moshiach
Come blow the ram's horn
The shepherds are gone
The sheep are forlorn
Who is the One Who looks after the sheep?
He's the One up above, Who never will sleep.

That's what I say to him.

If he was on this forum, I'd say to him the same thing I say to myself while on the forum--"ad mosai"! Get off the forum already!

Why do you doubt it? What would be so dissimilar?

I'd say something like: Find your feet, continue improving yourself and studying torah, we all await you and the world needs you now more than ever.

But I don't know, that's not very inspirational, which is why I'm curious to what you would say to him chossidnistar.

Yeah, I wish!
I would ask him to explain all the Moshiach's threads in chabadtalk

lol I'm not sure what I'd say to him. He seems so friendly that I'd probably just have a normal conversation with him. Is that wrong?

Perhaps an even more entertaining question is, "What would he say to you?"

He'd probably tell me to listen to what he told me to do. Or rather, to do the stuff I didn't want to do.

Perhaps he is waiting for us to un-tie him and remove the gag from his mouth. He is not tied down by ropes but by our inability to receive and accept him. Everyone has their own conception as to who he is or what he does. We have set him upon a slick surface where it is impossible for him to walk. When everything is brought to ruin, then he will come. Do we really want Moshiach, or do we want our Moshaich?

"After his release from imprisonment in Petersburg, Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Liadi passed through the city of Vitebsk, where he was received by the city elders and community leaders. “Tell us, Rebbe,” he was asked, “when will the tribulations of Israel end? When will the redeemer finally come?”

Rabbi Schneur Zalman lowered his eyes to the ground and said softly: “But how can he come? The Moshiach that everyone wants will never come, and the true Moshiach, no one wants….”
