Question Anim Z'miros

I heard many versions of the story of Anim Z'miros as the Rebbe told it.
I also heard that people say that that chossid lost in dveikus was, in fact, the Rebbe himself.
Anybody has any accurate information on this?

Ask the people who work at JEM. They're the one's who put the story out there in the first place. It was told over in one of their interviews when they started digging up the Rebbe's history; talking to people who had encountered the Rebbe many years ago - before he had come to America. That's the first I've heard that the person was the Rebbe...

One can look up the sicha for themselves (Simchas Torah 5722) - no need to "hear many versions" (?) - where the Rebbe tells it about a "poilishe Chosid".

As to the "giluyim" of JEM - I would have no idea.
