Is there a chabad overnight camp for girls who know nothing? I know a girl whose 12 and has no jewish education whatsover besides for a few weeks in hebrew school before she stopped going, and a few weeks each summer in a gan izzy daycamp. Are there camps for girls like this? Please give names, locations, and websites if they have one.

I know, the girls who went there were completely not frum yet. Her Shliach would have to speak to them to find out what allowances can be made. AFAIR, one had a counselor who helped her during Davening, and I think she stuck to the dress code as far as she could.

that sounds like exactly what I'm looking for! I don't think it would work for this summer because she already has plans for this summer but do you know if they're planning on doing it again next summer?

First step
First step is not the judge if they are frum or frie. It makes a huge difference in the way you act to them.
Second step is to find a camp. |

Here are Girls Camp Options:
http://www.campchomeish.com camp emunah: http://campemunah.com CGI Running Springs: http://cgirunningsprings.com/ Also There is a Lubavitcher from Iowa that does a three week summer tour program called Teva Tours : Teva Tours, the exciting traveling camp for 8th grade girls and above from all over the United States, has opened registration for this year’s adventure to Yellowstone, Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park and Grand Canyon National Park. Under the auspices of Lubavitch of Iowa and the direction of Chayala Gourarie, the camp combines daily shiurim with the exquisite vistas of some of our most spectacular national treasures. “The girls learn to ‘rough it’ and gain a profound appreciation of Ma Godlu Ma’asecho Hashem at the same time – certainly a winning combination”, declared Rabbi Yossi Jacobson, director of the Judaic Resource Center of Lubavitch of Iowa. For more information you can e-mail the camp administration * yosselg*yahoo.com or call 718-953-0739. |
