~ CAMP NEWS ~
The Camp has appointed Rabbi Michoel Harari as the on the Road Director. Rabbi Harari who is the current 8th grade teacher at United Lubavitcher Yeshiva. Wither it was staffing Camp Gan Israel in Parksville, NY or Montreal, Canada to leading a two week backpacking trip through the treacherous Carpathian Mountains, or more recently head Camp Gan Israel is Yiktrinaslav, Ukraine; Rabbi Harari has continued to stand out as an extraordinary figure in the camping world. His aptitude however extends beyond the field of camping with his long history of youth programming that he has done throughout the world. The Los Angeles Jewish community knows his work in leading a Shabbat program for kids, while in Surfside Florida he is known for his work as the assistant youth director for one of the largest Chabad synagogues in the country. In the great down under of Sydney Australia Rabbi Harari is known for his work as an emissary in the Boys Yeshiva and working side by side with one of Australia’s most famous Chabad Rabbis. Rabbi Harari will be accompanied by his wife Mishi are looking forward to leading the camp this coming summer.

Due to some technical difficulties the camp will not be operating for the original eight weeks as planned. Instead we will only be having a single session of four straight weeks. The program will start on June 25 in Denver, Colorado and end on July 25th in Los Angeles, California. At this point in time the plan is to travel through the majority of Colorado, Southern Utah, Nevada, and Southern California. The cost for this $3,000. In order to ensure the ability to have a full eight week summer experience we are working together with a new Chabad Overnight Camp in Running Springs California, to provide a program for the second four weeks of the summer which we will not be in operation.
