Sefer Mesoras
Tzoan Kedoshim
Yalkut Tisporet
And I saw a new book on Upsherenish at Heichal Menachem but I forgot what its called. The 2 are normally printed together.

Sefer Mesores is the sefer used almost universally in EY in all chedorim to teach alef beis and all of the minhagim are printed there. Basically:

The child goes to Cheder under his father's tallis and his parents are careful that he shouldn't see anything tamei.

There is an egg with a posuk on it (mothers of boys know how to do it, we wrote with a pin and spread choclate spread on it), a cake with a posuk, an alef beis chart normally in plastic, that the melamed spreads honey on it and he licks it off, careful to make the brocho. He then reads the alef beis backwards and forwards with the melamed. In Chabad it is the minhag to learn alef from the daf shaar of the Tanya. Except for the last that is specific to Chabad, it is all spelled out clearest in Sefer Mesores.

If you want I'll write out the two pesukim but I have to find my sefer mesores.

in the various pamplets (from CHabad..Serebranski, Touger , Simon?) and books (largest is Nite Gavriel) that discuss Upsherinish.

Are you taking him to a Chabad cheder? Its minhag Chabad to do so ;)
Then the Rebbe should already know the whole script and just fill you in...
