Farbrengen!!!

This is our official, online-farbrengen thread, where we bash each other, give each other tochacha, inspiration, and tell stories...come and join, and be prepared!;)

why 04-03-2006 09:53 PM

Okay. Actually, I'm not very inspired at the moment.

Majorthinker 04-03-2006 09:54 PM

ok
so lets get u inspired
first question: did you say chitas yet?

why 04-03-2006 09:55 PM

Uhuh.
I'm thinking hard their too. If only I'd remember that question every morning, rather then just at night, before going to bed...

Check.
That aint getting no where.
Lets talk Moshiach.

why 04-03-2006 09:57 PM

What did you do to bring Moshiach today?

Majorthinker 04-03-2006 09:59 PM

ummmm...good question
i had an online farbengen with someone, and inspired them

Majorthinker 04-03-2006 09:59 PM

and u?

why 04-03-2006 10:00 PM

Thinking...
If only I'd wake up with that question on my mind... not only just as I go to sleep.
I can only think of the sicha I learnt b'chavrusa about Moshiach. The lady I met at the store who said she'll light Shabboss candles now...

Majorthinker 04-03-2006 10:05 PM

ok
and now what are you going to do? how are you going to be different tomorrow than you were today?

why 04-03-2006 10:07 PM

Once two Chassidim were debating over how Moshiach will show up. They were outside the door to The Rebbe's office.
Suddenly The Rebbe's door burst open and The Rebbe came out and said 'like this he will come!' i.e. suddenly.
I was thinking... if we would truly realize that the final Geula will be here any second... what would we be doing now?
What should we be doing now?

But lets not make this a d'varim biteilim thread.
anything that springs forth nothing goes under that catagory

Majorthinker 04-03-2006 10:10 PM

no, tell me......who are you hiding from?

why 04-03-2006 10:11 PM
no, tell me......who are you hiding from?
6:00 :)

Uh oh. Where'd my bittul go? :(

Majorthinker 04-03-2006 10:13 PM

yasher koach

why 04-03-2006 10:17 PM
yasher koach
on what? letting my bittul fly?
Now, what I wanna know is why he aint here if we've been demanding it so much. And what am I s'posed to do if I've been born in the dark before dawn... so I don't know what I'm looking towards -how am I s'posed to truly desire something I've never experienced?
How could Hashem be so unfair?

why 04-03-2006 10:19 PM

I don't like waiting. Got a short attention span. A farby needs to keep going. Or else the ppl start going.

Majorthinker 04-03-2006 10:21 PM

first- only Hashem knows whats best for you
second- it makes you want to see dawn more, right? cuz uve never seen it before
were u born b4 or after chof zayin adar?
and the yasher koach was for waking up early
u just have to scream ad masai as hard as you can, and remember that ur not gonna be asked y u werent moshe! ur gonna be asked y u werent ------!

Wow! You spelt my name right! Impressive.
b4 27, but i was still little.
i don't have a dollar
I have a friend whos grandmother said since the times before Moshiach are gonna be real tough, she doesn' wanna be alive then.
she was niftar elul before nun-alef.
But she was right, in a way. these times are way to tough. way to confusing. I don't understand what Hashem expects from us by putting us in a sitch like this

Majorthinker 04-03-2006 10:31 PM

i dont understand either.....thats y it says sh'al avicha vyagedcha, z'kainecha v'yomru lach
are there any people on here that fit and want to share?

i used to try to say chitas 'when i got around to it' (which ended up being never). Now I say chitas right after brachos & b4 eating and I haven't skipped/forgotten once yet (i've been doing this about 6 weeks). it's so much easier if u just do it first thing in the morning

Majorthinker 04-03-2006 10:33 PM

yasher koach to you! welcome to the farby. but...back to the post b4.....what is our avoda now?
